Tips for the first days of sun exposure
Sun exposure should not exceed 30 minutes in the first several days if you want to avoid sunburns. Slow tanning is better, it lasts longer and is safer and healthier. The sunscreen with SPF should be applied liberally 30 minutes before sun exposure and reapplied every 2 hours or after swimming, toweling or intense sweating.
If you have light complexion, the initial time of sun exposure should be around 15 -30 minutes. The duration may be increased by 10 minutes every two days of continuous sun exposure. Persons with such skin type are recommended to use BLACK UP Dry Touch Oil SPF 50.
If you have pale complexion, commonly with freckles, which has hardly ever had sunburns, the experts recommend sun pro tection with SPF 30/SPF 30+ for the first several days of sun exposure.
If your skin type is Mediterranean, the initial time of sun exposure should be around 1 hour and could be increased by 20 – 30 minutes every two days of continuous sun exposure.
If your skin seldom gets sunburnt and easily tans, normally these are persons with brown hair and eyes, a typical Mediterranean type of skin, the experts recommend sun protection with SPF 20.
If your skin is dark brown, it never gets sunburnt and gets tanned very easily, the experts recommend sun protection with SPF 15 for the first several days of sun exposure.
After you are sufficiently tanned, you may switch to creams and oils with lower SPF, always making sure you are protected, in order to get better results with tanning.
